TD7204 |
Formation developed the
TD7200 in response to a client's need to offer less expensive recording
products to its customers. At that time, all of the clients' products
were based on expensive solid state memory. While pursuing the Navy’s MMA program,
the company determined that a higher-capacity product was needed, which resulted
in Formation’s development of the TD7204. The client won the MMA program and is
using the TD7204 (480GB) in the three recorders it is providing to
Boeing. |

Airborne Data Storage |
U.S. Coast
Guard (Deepwater)
(Turboprops) |
TD3500 |
A client needed a complete
rugged data storage solution for its system software and data on Coast
Guard airplanes. Formation combined the TD3500 with disk drive carriers
and a 4U chassis to meet their hot-swap and extreme environmental
requirements. Formation reduced the disk drive warm-up time and
worked with the chassis vendor to make modifications in the chassis to
meet program needs. |

Airborne
Recording |
|
TD3500 |
A client is using the TD3500
to provide data storage for high-resolution video recorders in Air Force
gun ships. The recorders enable the Air Force to record planes in action
and also provide for review of operations. |
|
Mobile Computing |
Air Force BCC-X/BCS-M
(Military Vehicles) |
TD3500 |
Formation integrated TD3500s
in AIR servers mounted in Humvees. The TD3500 is used to improve the
performance of the system in extreme environments because of its
extended temperature operation. |

TD3500 |
Formation provided TD3500s to
be used for storage of system software, targeting data, and moving map
information in servers a client is providing to the Army and Marine Corps.
The servers are used by Army Special Forces and Marine Corps Unit
Operations Centers throughout the world. |

TD7200 |
A client is using TD7200s to
provide rugged data storage for ship-based weapons systems for the Royal
Norwegian Navy. They have been using this product successfully in
this application for over three years. |
|
Submarine Communication Systems |
AIR
(Submarine) |
TD3500 |
Formation provided complete
systems consisting of COTS rackmount servers, Formation’s Advanced
Integrated Recorder software (AIR) and TD3500s to a foreign navy for a
submarine application. The TD3500 is used instead of standard drives
because of the submarine’s humidity, pressure, and shock requirements. |

Unmanned
Aerial Vehicles |
MiniSAR |
TD7200 |
A client is using
TD7200s to provide rugged data storage of radar information from
small-aperture radars in UAVs. |
