Formation gets $4 million deal linked to NYC subway Formation Inc., a Moorestown maker of hardware and software for the transportation and other industries, has received a $4 million contract from Panasonic Transportation Systems Co., a division of Panasonic Avionics Corp., to manufacture a subway communications system. Panasonic will provide the digital system to Alstom Transportation Inc. and Kawasaki Rail Car Inc., which will install the technology on 660 subway cars they are building for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. The MTA operates New York City's subway system. The communications system will allow for automated announcements, data displays, and public address systems on the cars. - Thomas J. Brady |
