FORMATION, INC. DELIVERS ADVANCED INTEGRATED RECORDER (AIR) FOR NATO ACCS PROGRAM Successful Factory Acceptance Test Heralds Beginning of Multi-Year AIR Delivery MOORESTOWN, NEW JERSEY, USA, (May 10, 2004)…Formation, Inc. has delivered the first of its Advanced Integrated Recorder (AIR) systems to Air Command Systems International (ACSI), a Thales Raytheon Company, for use in NATO’s Air Command and Control System First Level of Capability (ACCS LOC1) program. In the coming years, Formation is slated to deliver additional systems as part of this program, which is designed to replace a variety of existing air defense systems in NATO Europe. This key delivery milestone follows a successful collaboration between ACSI and Formation during the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) phase. Formation devised a rigorous test plan to verify that AIR met all specified performance requirements, and performed the test with ACSI personnel at Formation’s headquarters in March 2004. AIR passed the tests with flying colors. “The achievement of this milestone can be credited to Formation’s AIR product team and their spirit of cooperation with our personnel,” stated Georges Berry, ACSI’s Voice Communications System Manager. “They successfully added new features as required for this program, were very easy to work with and met all of our expectations.” The delivered AIR O2 systems can record up to 600 channels of critical voice communications while using only 5U (8.75 inches or 223 mm) of rack space. The recorders include a new remote control interface that allows a customer’s own software application to manage up to five independent and simultaneous replay sessions over a network. Beyond confirming system performance, Formation met a variety of logistical and documentation requirements as part of this delivery milestone. The revolutionary AIR O2 Record and Replay System records, archives, and replays a variety of information streams (including workstation screen activity, radar, LAN and voice data) using a single time-tagged, catalogued and synchronized archive. The system is scaleable and expandable from a single server with as few as 12 voice channels, to a networked multi-server storage system capable of supporting over 1000 screen, data and voice channels located in geographically distributed areas.
