FORMATION’S ADVANCED INTEGRATED RECORDER (AIR) SELECTED FOR NATO AIR COMMAND & CONTROL SYSTEM System to capture, store and replay up to 600 channels of voice data per site MOORESTOWN, NJ, USA (September 16, 2003)…Formation, Inc. announced today that its Advanced Integrated Recorder (AIR) has been selected by Air Command Systems International (ACSI), a Thales Raytheon Company, for use in NATO’s Air Command and Control System First Level of Capability (ACCS LOC1) program. The program is designed to replace a variety of existing air defense systems in NATO Europe and provide force management, air mission control, airspace management, air traffic control, surveillance, and air command and control system management. ACSI selected Formation’s AIR system to
capture, store and replay up to 600 channels of voice data per site,
with future options to record other data types. The AIR system records, archives and replays various information streams (including workstation screens, radar, LAN and voice data) using a single time-tagged, catalogued and tightly synchronized archive. The system is scaleable, expandable and provides any size facility the ability to recreate critical events, eliminate manual data correlation, and reduce liability risk. Configurations range from a single 1U (3.75 inch) server with as few as 12 voice channels, to a multi-server, multiple archive storage system supporting over 1000 screen, data and voice channels.
